Draw the shape of a bird on a colored background.
Apply Create Gradient Mesh.
Change the opacity to 50%.
Begin to drop color into the different sections using a variety of similar colors or color families.
Draw in a wing with a similar color as the background. Change it's opacity to 20% and it's layer mode to Color Burn.
With the Pen tool, draw it's legs in.
Create the eye with the Elliptical tool.
Duplicate and flip the one bird. Move to the left. Remember it is transparent so the beaks should overlap.
Using the Pen tool on a new layer, draw a line for the text.
Using Type on a Path tool, type in the text that you want.
Finally, duplicate the text, move it and change it's color.
